	July Photos! 07/02/2001, Monday - Spanish Camp (age: 7 years, 4 months, 15 days) Nicole started Spanish Camp today. It's a wonderful program that is about four hours a day for three weeks. They go on field trips and do all kinds of projects. She attended last year too and may be learning lots of Spanish in school this next year. This should be a good primer. Both Nicole and Christopher (especially Christopher) are enjoying a new computer game called Jumpstart Spanish. It's fun for us grown-ups too. We're all learning lots of Spanish! 07/04/2001, Wednesday - 4th of July! (age: 7 years, 4 months, 17 days) Last night we went to see a fireworks display. This is the first year that Nicole has not been terrified of the fireworks. She actually enjoyed them. 07/21/2001, Saturday - Lemonade Stand! (age: 7 years, 5 months, 3 days) Nicole and Christopher had a very successful lemonade stand this morning. Nicole even helped Mom make the lemonade from scratch (was really very good). A lawn crew was working at the neighbor's house and finished one pitcher. Some neighbors also came by. They made about $7 a quarter at a time. To make sure she was ready, I asked Nicole how much change she would give out if someone gave her one dollar for a 25 cent cup. She thought for a second and then responded with "Three quarters". She's a smart cookie! We discovered that Nicole got lice today. It's not a very bad case, but we're having to treat her hair, launder everything and package up all the stuffed animals and put them in the attic to fry the bugs. Since it's a Texas summer, it should take long ;-)

	Favorite Color:  Yellow. "The rainbow too". Favorite Foods:   Pizza (cheese only) "Favorite Chicken" (the way Mom makes it) Tomato Soup. steak Any kind of juice or milk (better make the juice pulp free) Pears and apples chicken nuggets (with honey), macaroni and cheese peanut butter and honey (doesn't like honey with it now but will take it with chocolate sauce!) candy of any kind (no nuts) Favorite Movies-T.V./Characters: The kids now like to watch the "Animal Planet" channel. They both like "Crocodile Hunter" and "The Jeff Corwin Experience". Amazingly they deal with things like snakes and crocodiles, but the kids are still fascinated. "Clifford". PBS has a new show about the giant red dog. It's a big hit with both kids. "Dragon Tales" is really a favorite now. Christopher and Nicole hold hands to go into Dragon Land. Really cute. "Arthur":  Arthur, D.W., etc. Playhouse Disney shows. Likes Out of the Box, Madeline Likes animal shows (Zoobomafoo, Kratts Creatures, Amazing Animals, etc.) "Flounder" from the Little Mermaid. This is now her favorite movie "Veggie Tales": Bob, Larry, Junior Favorite Activities: Riding bikes Rollerskating Swimming Art Monkey bars and swinging Playing with pony toys. Especially My Little Ponies. Reading What Nicole Wants to Be When She Grows Up: Now she tells me she's deciding between being an artist or a pet store worker (she really wants a pet dog) Favorite School Activities: "Gluing stuff" Likes all subjects, no favorites yet. Favorite Song: This is the Day the Lord has Made.
