June Photos!

06/06/2001, Wednesday - Swimming Lessons
(age: 4 years, 6 months, 17 days)
Last week Christopher finished his two weeks of swimming lessons. He's doing pretty well. Was able to jump off the diving board and swim to the side. He really has struggled with the jumping part. He seems to stick his feet and fall in doing a belly flop. Looks painful. In the end, though, he was doing much better. "Jump like a pencil" his teacher would say.

Last week the kids were also in VBS. They had a great time and had a really cute parents program at the end of it. The pictures I took are in my June on-line photo album.

06/20/2001, Wednesday - Praying for Healing
(age: 4 years, 7 months)
I was praying with Christopher last night before bed. He had skinned up the bottoms of his feet at the swimming pool, so I suggested he pray about them. Here is what he said, "Please, God, heal my feet. And Jesus, can you help him?"

06/22/2001, Friday - Trip to Six Flags over Texas
(age: 4 years, 7 months, 2 days)
I worked four 10-hour (more like 12-hour) days and took today off. My company is allowing us to do that once a month through the summer. My friend Wesley and I took our kids to Six Flags over Texas. I had not been for years and it was the first time for Nicole and Christopher as well. We all loved it. I think the kid's favorite ride was the Roaring Rapids, a ride floating on a large inner tube. Christopher only wanted to go once, but everyone else went a second time and were sad we couldn't go more.

Favorite Movies-T.V./Characters:

The kids now like to watch the "Animal Planet" channel. They both like "Crocodile Hunter" and "The Jeff Corwin Experience". Amazingly they deal with things like snakes and crocodiles, but the kids are still fascinated.
*New* Bob the Builder (Nickelodeon).
Thomas the Tank Engine
"Clifford". PBS has a new show about the giant red dog. It's a big hit with both kids.
"Dragon Tales" on PBS is very popular. Christopher and Nicole hold hands while "going" to Dragon Land. Very cute
Toy Story 2: Buzz Light Year. He's really enjoying both the movie and the Buzz toys. He also got Buzz Light Year tennis shoes. He also now has a new Woody doll (see picture right) that he really likes.
Also likes most Disney preschool shows (Out of the Box, Rollie Pollie Ollie, Bear in the Big Blue House, etc.)
Likes animal shows (Zoobomafoo, Kratts Creatures, Amazing Animals, etc.)
.

Favorite Activities:

Computer games (Lego Racers, Frogger, Buzz Lightyear & Buzz Lightyear of Star Command)
Loves to build with real Legos now.
Loves Hot Wheels cars. He can "read" the logo so he knows which ones are the real thing.
