Jay's Journey is an RPG I'm designing with RPGMaker 2000. It's part-RPG-part-RPG spoof, where intelligent over-analyzers meet with accepting cliches. And Max, too. I'd like to point something out: I am not (intentionally) ripping off Final Fallacy!!! I did not know the game even existed when I began work on Jay's Journey. So there. Nyah. And anyway, SpoonyBard decided not to finish Final Fallacy, so I'm doing all of you a favor by making this. That's right! I'm doing you a FAVOR!!!
UPDATE!!! If anything, this update is a removal of the previous update. SkyTowerGames got an updated version uploaded. BTW, sorry about the crappy design. I'm a game designer, not an artist! (which doesn't help much for my "secret project" - I have nobody making character designs for me.)
There's a new mirror at this location if you're having problems here.
Meet the important characters in Jay's Journey.
Get a basis for the story and features of Jay's Journey.
Some screenshots that show things I have added to the game since I uploaded the demo.
See the solutions to the puzzle rooms, or read the FAQ page for answers to other questions you may have.
If you want to know how to make your own tagalong system, read this, and see an example with this mini-game.
Visit my NEW BRAND NEW messagebaord, courtesy of Ticx. Yes, I know that the old one died a long time ago and I didn't update this page. And then Ticx (also known as Xanas) gave me yet another one.
Download Jay's Journey v1.1.2. (In order to use this, you must have RM2K and the standard RTP files - you can get them from other RPGMaker 2000 websites but they can't be linked to from here (Sorry!!!) To actually play the game, copy the RPG_RT.exe file from another game - any will do - into the same folder as all the "map" files, and run it from that exe.)
To see what's changes since the last version, check out the bug fixes and changes page.
Download the demo of Jay's Journey 2. The same rules apply as the first game.
