Here you can see some of what I've been doing for Jay's Journey. Please not that some of these pictures will not appear in the final version of the game, or may appear altered.

The title screen

Just what DID happen in Leona?

Actually, you will never see this scene. I've decided to do away with it entirely. But you can at least see an example of what I had planned.

Now, the sidekicks follow Jay around towns (This uses Drakul's updated sidekicks-don't-walk-into-walls method, but I was the one who helped him update it.)

The guards in this game are so inept.

Honestly, this room is still too easy to get through. Good thing this room doesn't exist in the game any more.

The random wandering townspeople aren't much brighter.

The game's running gag.

I also rewrote the scene where Jay has to avoid the guards in the sewer. Now, they try to chase him down through a mini-maze.

A racing mini-game.

Carol tries her hand at some archery practice.

And you thought puzzle rooms were tough with ONE person! (Side note: they've been renamed "Puzzle Rooms")

Next up: Whack-a-Switch.

Yes they be.

I bet you've never been able to use a hot-air balloon in that OTHER RPG.

He finally finds Carol.

Is there anyone she WON'T flirt with?

Answer: yes. Omelio.

Have I mentioned it's a running gag?

Expensive inn.

Gaia has a dream.

Getting revenge on Omelio.

Ames returns.

Dragons, dragons everywhere. Too bad none of them answer to the name "Puff".

This describes Thinbeard very well.

What be ye meanin', "I got that from a video game"? 'Tis the TRUTH!

Bet you didn't get to use a tank either.

I wonder who he is...

A switch the humans cannot reach.

Max has not gotten any brighter.

And they said it couldn't be done!!! (well, no they didn't, but I did it anyway.) By the way, can anyone guess how far into the game this picture was taken?

With the old switch system, this wasn't possible - it would get really buggy if someone other than Jay tried to use it. Therefore, I just took it away whenever anyone else became the leader. However, as you can see in this screenshot, anyone can be in the first position and the switch menu will still work. (Although, to be frank, the only reason you'd want to call the menu here would be to switch the order of Nosage and Needog.)

Tell me about it. (No, he's not a playable character, but he joins temporarily during one scene.)

This scene was the basis for an upcoming banner of mine, and it takes place in a re-written Pecot Tower.
