B'Dilli

Why did I start this site?

I remember turning on the TV and seeing a video clip of The Savannah Band performing Cherchez La Femme.
There was this amazing bass player with a Rickenbacker 4005 bass interacting with the amazing female vocalist. They seemed to be having a ball.
The whole band was wearing 40's clothes and the sound was totally unique.

A friend just returned from LA and said he was in the audience when they performed on the Dinah Shore Show. He had their album and played it for me. If I play it today I still get a buzz. Great music, lyrics, arrangements and playing - a special record!

I started this site way back in 1998. In those days the only sites that mentioned Kid Creole or the Savannah Band were CD store sites.
As the Browder brothers and their friends wrote, performed and recorded a lot of my favorite songs, I thought they deserved a web site of their own.
Thankfully, the Kid now has his own 'official' web site and other fans have created their own.

I must say a big THANK YOU to all the people who have contributed information and photos or supported this site over the years, especially (in no particular order)...
