(Despite the mid-80’s photograph used on the cover, this is a newly-released live
album that was recorded sometime in the mid-90’s, and provides an excellent look at
the band in the recent years. It even includes a couple of tracks tacked on at the end
that are from the London musical August appeared in - 'Oh! What A Night'. Unfortunately,
the liner notes contain no information on where or when it was recorded, but August
mentions “Fairham,” so at least some it was likely recorded there. It may be a
compilation from several shows, as he mentions two different drummers (Peter lastname? and
Tony Allen). He mentions a few other band members throughout the album as well: Bongo
Eddie, guitarist Thomas Andersson, Kevin Nance (keyboards), and Lee Robertson (horns). In
listening closely, I’m pretty sure that the Coconuts include Heidi and Eva. This
album (and the slightly different version detailed below) are well-recorded and well-worth
taking the trouble to find!)

(This is another version of the Live album on Brilliant Records. The only
difference is that it opens with the two tracks from 'Oh! What a Night' instead of closing
with them, and it includes one extra track, a reprise of “Annie,” which features
the the calypso-style call-and-response jam the band has used to close the show in recent
times. The cover photograph is different as well, but is also from the mid-80’s.
