ROAD RAGE II
On the streets of Zanker Road in San Jose, I was on my way to meet my uncle to go to the Sony Store.
It just happens that Zanker was under construction (what a surprise in Silicon Valley!). Everyone was
merging to one lane and it was getting backed up. This blonde in a red car merged behind me. We sit
in traffic for about a minute. She gets anxious and impatient, changes lanes and speeds up to the
stoplight. The light changes and cars begin moving. The lady in the red car can't move because THE
ROAD IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION!! She tries to get into the one moving land (the lane that she was in
before), but no one lets her in. She inches her way in front of me, but I inch further, squeezing her
out. The car behind me was nice enough to let her in. I look in my rear view mirror and the lady
flips me off! Now wait a minute... Who was the one who used the other lane to cut traffic, even though
she knew that that lane was closed? I should have rolled down my window and flipped her right back.
She was lucky that she even got her original place back.
EVERYDAY
ROAD RAGE II
I've always hated driving! But it's even worst in traffic. Bumper to Bumper. Every freakin' Day! Inch
by inch I move. When my lane finally moves - WOO-HOO! BUT, all of a sudden, a car changes lanes in front
of me. What the hell?!?! No signal! No warning! OK, I hate sitting in traffic just as much as the next
guy, (BART, please come down to the South Bay!) but give me some warning! I usually try to let cars in if
they signal. Of course, it depends on the situation. If I'm moving along smoothly, of course I'm not going
to let them in. That would hold up traffic, just to let that car, which should just sit patiently in his
lane until it moves, in. However, if the other guy is holding up traffic, I'll let him in, it's just one car.
But people, please signal!! I also hate it when I'm about to change lane and a quarter way into the next
lane, a car from the far lane changes into the same lane (without signaling!). I would have to quickly
move back into my lane before they crash into me or I into them! People, PLEASE SIGNAL!
