Blue Wildebeest
Wildebeest are also referred to as Gnu snail

Height: 1,30 m
Mass: 249 kg
Gestation: 250 days

Grazers and they prefer rather short grass. Drink water regularly, if available.

Very inquisitive - even when running away from a predator, will stop, turn around to look again what caused them concern in the first place. Very nervous though when they go to drink water, they will run away for the slightest hint of danger.

The bulls are very territorial and create 'rolling grounds' and deposit their dung thereon. Old males become solitary.

They have keen hearing and sense of smell, but their eye sight is not good. Will often be associated with zebra.

Wildebeest are known for their strong migrating instinct.

Their major enemies are cheetah, wild hunting dogs, lions leopard and of course the calves are especially vulnerable to hyena as well as all the aforementioned.

Both female and males have horns.
