This is an early Type 54 Series 2, purchased from the factory in 1968. It was driven in Europe for a couple of years, and then moved to Canada. After that, it was imported into the states, all done by the original owner. I bought this car from that original owner. It was well driven, and driven in the Eastern winter environment, salted roads and all. Just about every metal piece of the car is rusted out. The chassis is so badly rusted, the front bulk head is flaking away. So you don't get the wrong impression, I knew about the condition of the car prior to purchasing it. If you have parts laying around that you don't need, I would be more than happy to take them off your hands.
Unfortunately, as I get more into this project, I am finding "buried treasures". For instance, I tried to remove the seat belts, and the backing plate for the driver's side was rusted through, and as a result, there is a large hole in the sill, and I cannot remove the bolt without cutting it off. I am preparing my self for more of these kinds of surprises.
