Ceri Rees got off to a good start in the first event, 200 backstorke with a time of 3:15.86. Sisters' Carly and Jenna Cook swam PBs in this event 3:07.28 and 2:54.8 respectively, and Rachel Tonge took 4h place in the 13/14 age group.
Ben Gaskell recorded a time of 3:15.19 taking 9 seconds off his entry time.
In the 100m breastroke event that followed, it was another PB for Ceri (1:42.39) coming in 5th place in the final, with Jessica Blakemore in a time of 1:37.52 to win silver. A great swim from Kate Holley (11/12 age group) in the final, with a 1:26.6 and a bronze medal. PB again for Jenna Cook in a time of 1:31.33.
More medals for Jess and Ceri in the 100 IM 1:27.8 and 1:28.0, taking 3rd and 4th places respectively, and Kate Holle with 3rd in her age with 1:21.04.
Another gold for Dominic in the IM 1:24.23 and a PB from Ban 1:33.18 and Justin Rees in a time of 1:22.42
The 400 front crawl was the last event, but the swimmers still had plenty of energy left for PBs.
It was good to see the younger swimmers having a go at this event. Jes came 3rd with 5:54.68 (11 seconds PB), Carly 6:03.84 (31 seconds off her entry time!), Dominic Prescott 3rd 5:33.76 and Ben taking 17 seconds off his entry time with 6:09.48
