In the first meeting between the venerable Sam Adams franchise and the 3rd year Betty White squad, the Hat Brigade showed no respect in administering a 62 point beat down, the Drunk's worst defeat in 6 years.  RB Selvin Young was the only RB or WR to score for SAU, while QB Troy Smith, once an MVP candidate, continues his struggles with 6.  The Hat Brigade had 2 players break 20 points, led by Soph RB Ray Rice's 22.  This is Betty White's first 3-1 start in their 3 years, while the Vomiting Drunks are 1-3 for the first time since 2001.

In one of the most ironic matchups of the day, Cincinnati got 35 from the Ohio State defense to beat the College Students for the first time since the CCFFL's inaugeral 1998 season.  The Terminal got 12 points from WR Joel Filani to go along with OSU's 35 ,with QB Rudy Carpenter chipping in 11.  The Students were led by first round pick Jeff Smajfuelsquzawtfimrasgski, who had 16, while the highly anticipated (at least by College) debut of WR Jarret Hicks netted 8.  With the loss, College holds a slim 3-2-1 series edge over Cincy.

Bite Me took out their 0-3 frustration on Clermont in a BIG way with the biggest blowout and most points scored in Wanker team history, and the most lopsided game in the league in 3 years.  WR Sidney Rice finally lived up to first round billing with an astounding 36 points (ed note: and the 5 TD's was a Gamecock team record, fyi), with all everything RB Adrian Peterson scoring 23.  Clermont got a good game from QB Kevin Kolb, who had 22, but the former #2 overall pick got almost no more help as 3 players went scoreless.  Both the Regulars and the Wankers are 1-3 for the 3rd time in their 6 year history, and the alltime series is now tied 2-2.

The CCFFL would like to take a moment to congratulate the Palmetto State Beer Goggles for setting a league record with their 3rd career tie.  PSU QB Colt Brennen, the team's first round pick this year, had a game-high 28 in contributing to the kiss-your-sister moment, with WR Rhema McKnight adding 14.  Cronko was the picture of mediocrity, with everybody scoring, but nobody really standing out, though WR Mario Manningham's 16 led the team.  This was the first meeting between the teams.

Headbanger broke through for it's first win of the season in the Game of the Week, sending Duff Beer to 1-3 for the first time since 2000.  Headbanger's lineup was very  consistant, with all players scoring between 14 (K Gary Cismesia) to 9 (RB Mike Hart).  The Donuts got 26 points from QB Tyler Palko and 16 from WR Darius Reynard, but zero from both RBs helped seal DBU's 3rd straight loss in the series after winning the first 2.

South Central matched it's win totals of the past 2 seasons with it's 6th win in 7 matches against Million Dollar, sending the Bills to 0-4 for the second time in 3 years in the process.  The Raiders were led by QB Alex Brink, who had 18 while WR D'Juan Woods continued his climb up the alltime WR list with 14.  The Bills WR Syvelle Newton scored 24 in an out of position appearance, but was the only player in double digits, as K Sam Swank added 9.  South Central reached 3-1 for the first time since 2003.

Burlington rebounded from it's loss last week to beat Morristown by 16.  The Beerguzzlers got 19 from RB Ian Johnson to lead all scorers, and 16 from first rounder Yvenson Bernard, but nothing from the usually potent WR spot, denying me the chance to make fun of Mario Urethra.  The Falcon attack, after starting out red hot, continued to sputter with Chris Leak's 13 leading the team and Brandon Ore and the Souther Cal D adding 12.  This is the 4th straight year Morristown has been 2-2, and the win was Burlington's 3rd straight in the 4 game series.

In what promised to be a great matchup of the two surprise 3-0 teams, Pee Dee River dominated from top to bottom in setting a team record for most points in a game.  The BBK had 4 players score 20 or more, with Sr QB Brady Quinn's 30 leading way, and RB James Davis contributing 27.  Slacker QB Chase Daniel, the league's leading scorer, led the Slugs with 23 while first round pick Davone Bass had 18.  PDR is in unfamiliar territory, off to it's best start in team history while Slacker is off to it's best start since the 2001 squad also started 3-1.  PDR has won both meetings between the 2 teams, with the last meeting coming in 2003.
