With the exception of their WR's, the defending champion Beerguzzlers looked very mediocre in their first loss of the season.  Cronko got a strong game from QB Drew Stanton, who led all scorers with 21 (and is tied for the league lead) and 11 from RB Tony Hunt.  Burlington came out flat, with only the WR position showing any production.  Mario Urethra led the team with 15 while first round pick Ryan Greased-Mullet chipped in 10.  This was the Bail Bondsmens first win against Burlington in 3 tries.

RB Cory Boyd had a big game for Duff Beer with 20 points as the Donuts turned to instant replay to reverse a call that turned a tie ballgame into their first win of the season.  QB Troy Smith continued his strong start for Sam Adams with 12 points, while WR Ted Ginn also had 12.  DBU got 13 from QB Tyler Palko to go along with Boyd's 20.  The Donuts improved their record against the Drunks to 5-3 alltime.

The early season struggles continue for Headbanger, falling to 0-3 for the first time in school history.  Betty White had an outstanding game from RB Ronnie McGill who had 36, while RB Ray Rice had 19 and former #1 overall Dwayne Jarret had 17.  The lone bright spot for Headbanger so far seems to be Fr RB PJ Hill, who led the team with 19.  The win gives Betty White a 3-2 series edge.

RB Kory Sheets had a great game for MDU, leading all scorers with 22, but it wasn't enough as Cincinnati sent the Bills to 0-3 for the third straight year.  Sheets' backfield mate, #2 overall pick Tyrell Sutton continued his early season struggles with 3 points (ed note:  making me DAMN glad i didn't pick him).  The Terminal was led by the 16 points of RB Marshawn Lynch and the Ohio State D, with QB Rudy Carpenter adding 12.  Cincinnati improved their record to 6-3 in the long-running conference rivalry.

The Thundering Slugs continue their early season run, knocking off the league's highest scoring team.  Morristown QB Matt Ryan led all scorers with 22 in spite of much pregame speculation as to whether he should be playing or not, but only RB Jonathan Stewart was the only other players to reach double digits.  Slacker was led by the 15 points apiece from RB Mike Hamilton and the Texas D while QB Chase Daniel, the league's leading scorer, had 13.  This is Slacker's second time at 3-0, and their 8th win in their last 9, and moved their head to head vs Morristown to 4-3.

After MUCH preseason banter (and a bet that I'm surprised hasn't been brought back up), Pee Dee River got a measure of redemption in the 16 point beating of College.  The Students got 26 from the Michigan D, but that was it for double digits on the team.  PDR had solid games from several players, with the VT D leading the way with 19 and RB James Davis chipping in 17.  This is PDR's first time at 3-0, and only the second win in 6 meetings with the Students.

50-0, 61-24, 10-2 and now 51-32.  It's a virtual lock that when Clermont and South Central hook up, it'll be ugly.  Still, someone had to win, and the Raiders pulled it out, moving their head to head vs Clermont to 3-2 in the process.  South Central was led by #1 overall pick RB Steve Slaton, who was the game's high scorer with 19, while QB Alex Brink had 11 in his first CCFFL start.  The Regulars got 13 from QB Kevin Kolb, but only 8 total points from the RB/WR positions.  This is the 4th time in 5 years that South Central has been 2-1
