It started out after an older gentleman in section 104 who threw the red/white sugar candy mints no longer did. I heard that he loved the game, and he came to as many games as his health allowed until he died. The candy always cheered up those around him....whether the Hogs were winning or losing. I never knew the original candy man's name, but I now throw candy to the fans in his memory. I am the second in hopefully a long lineage of those who would continue to throw sweets to the fans. I don't, however, try to imitate him in any other way. My style of "Candy Man" is my own, and I should hope that the heir to this would do the same.

Thank you for including "Candy Man" in your 17 commandments, for the older gentleman surely smiles down on us as we continue the tradition.
