The actual score was Florida 35, Florida State 24.

You think that was a tough game out on Florida Field? Well, for really tough competition, you needed to be in the Prediction Derby this week, where the only way to win was to pick the exact final score. That's just what Lloyd Biggs did this week, becoming our final regular season champion. In the three-year history of the Prediction Derby, no one had ever made a perfect pick, so Biggs' 0.00 difference stands as an unbreakable record.

None of the previous weeks' champions picked Florida to win, but a couple of them managed to sneak into the upper half of the field anyway. Mike Sukhadwala (-9.90) and Travis Vaughan (-10.00) finished 27th and 29th respectively, while Cav fan Robert Taylor (-11.70) was the median finisher at 33rd. Other former champs included Rick Workman (-19.24) at 54th, Bird Man Bob (-19.31) at 55th, and Lew Saphar (-38.08) in 65th.

One pleasant surprise was that in spite of the heated nature of this rivalry, and the fact that both programs have their share of butt-headed fans, all of the prediction e-mail I got this week was cordial and devoid of trash-talking. Y'all are a classy bunch and it was a pleasure to run the contest this week (even though I got buried back in 33rd). I want to thank everyone for playing.
