The actual score of the game was FSU 72, Wake Forest 13.
Supposedly, it should be hard to predict the score of a blowout, but there were a lot of close calls this week. The closest of course was that of Mike Sukhadwala, with a difference of just 3.16. Mike had suffered a disappointing defeat in the Central Florida game, finishing runner-up behind Denise Gardiner by just 0.05 points, so you know he's savoring this victory. This time the close-but-no-cigar spot went to Devon Norton, who scored 3.61. There was a pile-up in the third position -- Jason Jenkins, Gary Hodges, and BN7516 all had different predictions, but were all off by just 5.00. BN7516? No one had a name like that when I lived in Champaign-Urbana.
Denise Gardiner led former champions this week, finishing eleventh with a 10.82. Duke game winner Rick Workman was right behind, tied for twelth with 11.40. Top predictor from the N.C. State game, Lew Saphar, tied for 19th.
If you want to check up on the records of past champions yourself, Chris Schmitt has made the results of all of this season's Seminole Prediction Derbies are available on the WWWeb at:

Coming up this week for the Seminoles is homecoming and the Georgia Tech Yellowjackets. Is Tech riding high after their win over North Carolina? Will they be fired up by the perceived insult of being scheduled as a homecoming opponent? Will they play better on the road because they won't be sharing the field with a big, silly-looking inflatable bug?

Put "FSU vs. GIT" in the subject line so I know it's not just someone whining because I insulted "Buzz". Make sure your entry gets to me before kickoff on Saturday (3:30 PM EDT), maybe even by sending it to me now.
