I've studied two semesters in Stafford. Each semester six subjects had to be joined. In the first semester all of them were assessed entirely by assignments (i.e. detailed written homeworks). In some subjects the marking was done by assignments plus an additional presentation. Both are contributing with different percentage levels to the final mark.

The second semester, exams had to be written in some of the subjects.
