Girls just wanna have fun. And we had a ball this month at our June meeting. Our very own paparazzi girl, Tami, graciously put on a photo shoot for anyone who wanted to dazzle the camera, and guess who got to be first one in the barrel.
Okay. Here is me.
So Elle McPhearson doesn’t have to worry. What else is new!
And this is Angelika. Oh my!
Angelika is so vivacious and… sooooooooooooo captivating.
And of course, the incomparable Debbi Richards.
A belle in the most gracious tradition of the South and a Carolina girl through and through.
Oh, Magnolia!
Lynn. So lovely. And sooooo talented!
Robyn Paige and her Mona Lisa smile…
Wow!
We had a great dinner in the motel restaurant and turned a few heads as pretty girls always do.
I get so tickled at some of the reactions of people. The women tend to stifle a smile trying to be polite, but
the guys’ mouths usually fall open and their eyes tend to glaze over. Giggle…
But no one seems to really mind and everyone seems to be able to take it in stride.
People really are becoming tolerant of others, even if they don’t always understand or approve.
After dinner we adjourned to our conference room for a short business meeting and then we continued to catch up with each other and get acquainted with the new girls who stopped by.
It was a glorious warm evening and a bunch of us went out on the deck to enjoy the summer night and knock back a few beers. Oh my, how unladylike.
And of course we took a few snapshots.
This is Celia and me.
Celia has such natural femininity and grace. Giggle… Don’t it make my blue eyes green!
And
this is Celia and Nancy and me.
Nancy and I pledged Sigma Rho together. Sigh… She’s going to move away soon and I’m going to hate to see her go, but we’ll always be pledge sisters and we’ll always have that special bond that girlfriends have.
And this is Celia and Nancy.
Sitting out and gabbing with your girlfriends and feeling the warm evening breeze on your bare legs is just so special. Good friends, warm evenings and cold beer. Life is good.
Nancy and Angelika have fabulous pins. N’est pas.
Angelika drove the getaway car on the night’s two beer runs into. We stopped at a Jiffy Mart or whatever it was called right across the street from Jesse Helms’ church. Too bad the Jesse man wasn’t in buying himself a rack when we arrived. Wouldn’t he have had a newsflash for the boys in the Senate cloakroom!
Giggle…
There were two really cute chicks parked next to us. They were all smiles and giggles by the time we came out. They were so cute and so hip. Girls really do just wanna have fun!
Well, that’s all for now. Tune in next month when we will celebrate 223 years of our Nation’s Independence. And however many years of our own individual independence.
America may not be perfect. But we’re way ahead of everybody else.
