The Tools of the Craft

There are six elements that can be included in a multimedia format: text, images, sound, animation, video, and interactivity. Not every multimedia project must contain all of these elements. It is the responsibility of the multimedia development team to determine which elements to include in a specific project. However, it is important to remember that whichever elements you select, they must add value to the project. The elements must never compete with one another for the user's attention. The elements, of course, need to support and enhance the message that the developers are trying to impart to the user.
