Bluebear's Player Aids
As a STARS! Host, I run multi-person games for the players. This page is intended to provide
the players some "play aids".
LOCATION
One problem that players often have trouble with is location. How do they describe where they
are? Well, one way is to use the following "maps".
Obviously, the actual starmap will be different, but if you split the "Galaxy" into quarters,
then, you can use the following "Quadrants" to refer to locations:

Sometimes, however, this doesn't work right because you are right on a "line". In that case,
use the following "Quadrants" (based on corner-to-corner lines):

Yet, sometimes (especially in larger Galaxies) the previous divisions are insufficient. In
that case, instead of using "Quandrants", use the following "Sectors":

UNIVERSE SIZE
Below you will find a chart that lists the various number of stars for different sized
"Universes". Occassionally you will have fewer stars, but the numbers are generally pretty close.
Note that those totals marked "@9xx" (for large/packed and huge/dense and huge/packed) vary
considerably, but are usually somewhere between 900 and 960 stars in size. By the way, in a
sample of 10 each, huge/dense averaged more stars than huge/packed!
