Page Design (cont.)
Very few words from me on this subject. There has been a great deal written
on this subject, and most of it is available on the web. It would probably
be advisable to go through a process such as the following:
- sketch out your designs using your own intuitive design sense;
- visit the Green Zone links and collate suggestions that seem to apply
to the kind of design you are trying to achieve;
- ask whether you can take these suggestions on board without losing
your overall design concept;
- if you can, revise your design and finalise;
- if not, go back to step 1 and start again from your new, more sophisticated,
outlook.
While you are doing this, don't lose sight of the high-level page design
issues discussed last week, or the overall purpose, audience and objectives
of your site.
