The Legend of the Blood Maul...

"When Ilneval died, he had no right full heir to throne.  M'tog, son of Ilneval, had disappeared while leading brave raid on the Dwarves. The true test of power in the tribe was to hold the Hammer of Ilneval in battle. None could do. Only a blood heir to the throne can do.  So it was decided to put the Hammer in a box and drop it into ocean where none could find except true heir to Ilneval's Throne. Until den, tribes would have no King, only Warlords."

     The role-playing goal of this quest is to become one with Ilneval.  Only upon receiving his "mark" will you truly be a member of his tribe, and thus a true heir to power.  The mud goal of this quest is to gain new titles (as opposed to the boring "Warrior of Akzar'gorak") as well as a tattoo, which you can write up the description of, and then show to others.

     The legend of the Blood Maul not only gives you your first clue for the starting point of the quest, it gives you subtle clues to other steps of the quest as well.  So always keep this in mind...

Beginning the Quest for the Mark of Power...

Step 1:  Go to the Akzar'gorak tunnels, and "worship ilneval" at his statue. "Bring me what my heart desires, and my mark shall be upon you.  The old warrior in far off homelands knows my story." -Ilneval

{Disclaimer: this will get you started on the quest for the tattoo and titles of Ilneval, as well as a hint on where to go for the second step.  I have chosen not to list the entire quest on this website so long as I am still mudding for three reasons.  One, we want serious members in this org, along with hard workers.  Taking the short way out would hardly prove your worth.  Two, it takes some of the fun out of mudding, role-playing, and new upgrades when someone simply tells you how to do it or what to do.  Three, myself and others worked our asses off to solve this quest with very little help, and I feel justified making everyone else do the same.  However, I will not leave you hanging.  Although I want you to be challenged, I don't feel you should be as challenged as I was, therefore, along with providing the starting point as well as a hint on where to go for the second, I will also give a few pieces of advice which you should keep in mind.  Also, I will be willing to give you more help in person if you meet me on the mud.  Just shout for Mateo.}

Advice:

1. Do one hell of a lot of looking around.  I mean look at everything.  If you are not the type, or do not become the type that looks at every detail in a room, you will not finish this quest.  Look at everything, and pay attention to the little details.

2.  Go with your gut as to where the next step of the quest is.  Odds are, you have guessed the right area, just haven't found it yet.  If this is the case, someone in the tribe may zero you in on the target.  After all, some of this stuff is hard to figure out.

3.  Don't be afraid to ask a tribe member for help.  There are no standing orders regarding this, but very few know the details, even fewer have done it themselves, and even less can remember it all.

4.  Don't get frustrated.  Many of the commands you will have to use are very much out of the ordinary.  Also many of the qualifiers for the next step are unusual or lengthy.  This may be an area you receive help especially, if you have already found the room you're supposed to be in to do it.

5.  Get acquainted with everything about the orks before hand.  If you know "orkdom" left and right, some of this stuff will be easier.  Every room, every tendency, every npc, everything...
