Vampires are very misinterpreted by the media. Although once thought to be a race of nymph, Vampires have now been proven to be actually a completely independent genus. However, although linked by basic biology, Vampire races are widely spread and hold very different habits and traditions. Here are some known races of vampires.

Nosferatu
: The most commonly known form of vampire. The Nosferatu have the ability to drink the blood of a humanoid, magically reseal the wound, and return the following night to feed again. Over the course of a month or so the victim would lose sleep, seem endlessly tired, grow pale, sick, and finally die. Upon their death, they are transformed into creatures of the night themselves. Sunlight is lethal to them, and garlic is toxic. They will not die by most conventional means, and must have either their heads cut off, their hearts burned or stabbed with a wooden stake, or whole cremation. They resemble humans, usually pale, with fangs and pointed ears.Chupacabras: The Chupacabras dwell mainly in South America, particularly Peru. Known to suck the fluid of cattle, the Chupacabras are dangerous and not very intelligent. Spreading disease and famine wherever they roam, the Chupacabras kill their prey on first sight. Not known to attack humans directly, they kill them off anyway by giving them one of the many sicknesses they are riddled with, yet seem immune to. The Chupacabra is relatively short, averaging in at about five feet, and has a bulging forehead, off-purple skin pigmentation, grey eyes, and tusks, which extracts the fluid like a straw.
Boidae
: Boidae are the religious incarnation of Vampires. Satanic and sadistic, they steal children and have been known to feast upon fetal babies, directly from the womb. Their victims die, rather than join their vampiric race. A Boidus will back away from a cross, and burn when exposed to holy water like it was acid. Entrance into a church means instant death, as does the sun in their natural form. However, they can transform into black snakes or ravens. They have sheet white skin, save for their bright red lips, and otherwise resemble the Nosferatu.** Suubavols
: Suubavols are mainly found in North America, and have only been recently discovered, although they've been around for ages. Suubavols resemble sheet white creatures, usually with blue or purple or green hair, with claws, fangs, and bat-like ears. In this form, they have the uncanny ability to transform their arms into large, bat-like wings, with flight capability. A Suubavol will retain this form while the sun is set, and will transform into human form once exposed to sun at dawn. Suubavols transfer their condition by having their victims drink their own blood. However, bloodsucking isn't a favoured pastime of theirs.* Turifros
: Turifros are one of the Vampire races that do not need to drink blood to survive. They resemble humans, but have glowing green eyes, short fangs, and incredible strength. They are capable of flight and have heavy obsessive-compulsive disorders. These force them to untie a knot every time they see one, and if seeds are ever spilled on the ground, they must pick them up. Why these behaviours are present is unknown, but it gives humans an edge in combat. They live with and among humans, blending in very easily.* Copax
: Dark, sadistic vampires who live in dark, gothic temples nestled in mountains, these are greatly feared by even their own vampiric kin. The reason behind this is their evil rituals of vampire cannibalism. Capturing other vampires and bringing them to their secret monasteries, they drug them and begin to eat them while they are still alive. The result makes them insane. The crazed Copax will remain in a state of madness for a matter of days, when finally it will wear off, and they will return to feed again. They resemble Nosferatu, but have claws instead of feet, when they are in the crazed state, their eyes will turn yellow. Several generations of this cannabilistic culture has resulted in hereditary addiction to it, so most Copax who do not feed for several days with experience painful and violent withdrawal, which, in some cases, can even kill the poor creature.Myotises
: A fanatically religious race of vampires, who can sometime take their gothic dogma a little too far. Although they feed on blood, it is usually carried out ritualistically in churches from sacrificial animals, rather than humans. Myotises will glow with a fiery aura when not exposed to sunlight, and can transform into bats. They occasionally suck blood but do not need it to survive.
