Yep, that's Dracula that Vampirella is locking faces with. If you want to find out why, you'll have to read When Wakes the Dead from issue 20. I can give you this hint, bats of a...ummmm...talon? stick together. Apparently men from Drakulon have something the rest of us don't. I'll let you think about that one as we move on.

Slitherers of the Sand! is a freaky story where Vampirella and Dracula plus the side kicks, find themselves being hunted by this spiky slug thing. It is in this story that Vampirella sees Dracula for what he really is, a homesick dream and she moves on. Poor Vampi dreams of a lost world, her homeworld of Drakulon. The world we find out more about in 1972's one and only Vampirella Annual!

1972 also brought us the one and only Warren Vampirella Annual. This has the first "origin of Vampirella story" sort of retelling what issue one tells (minus the shower scene). It's a good story that gives us some background on Vampi's lover Tristan and the fight that sends Vampi on a spaceship to Earth. It also has some nice drawings of Vampi and is the next hardest to find Vampirella besides issue #3.
