he year, 1970, is the real start for Vampirella. This year saw issues 5 through 9 and only the last two have Vampirella stories. The first story is "Who Serves the Cause of Chaos?" and it kicks it all off.
We find Vampirella a true stranger in a strange land, Earth. Wandering around lost and badly hurt, Vampi is forced to find blood or die. It's in this first story that we begin to see if Vampi is one of the bad guys or the good guys. Also, several main characters make first appearances in this story. Most important of these is the appearance of Conrad Van Helsing and his son Adam. They are soon to meet up with our lovely Vampi but it may not only be Vampi who is out for blood.
This issue also introduces the order of Chaos and, of course, at it's head is the famous Ethan Shroud. It is here that we learn of a way for Vampi to fight off the hunger that drives her to seek blood. If you want to know more, you'll have to buy the book. I can tell you that Vampirella #8 is a must have for every serious Vampirella fan. It is the beginning of it all!
