Washington D.C.
I spent five days in Washington D.C. sight seeing and meeting with my congressional representatives.  This trip was in the months following the September 11th attack and the city was much different then the open democracy we once enjoyed.

While this experience doesn't necessarily fit in the activities section it is important to highlight.

Washington D.C. is the center of the universe yet given my political science degree, we in study forget the men and women that sacrificed for a better America, what ever that endeavor might be.  It is a humbling experience that reminds you that you are an ant size organism in a vast cosmos of trillions of stars.  But even with those odds one voice can lead to powerful change.

I didn't have my bike for those who care I walked nearly 50 miles in the five days.
