The Humble Beginnings
The organization has its humble beginnings starting from the time when different organizations have been established with a common goal - to enhance the skills and empower the Filipino individual.
2001 was the year when STEP was first launched, together with its vision, mission, and its endearing goal to robustly advance the skills of the individual.
The Various Organizations
Before:The Various OrganizationsBefore the foundation of STEP existed various organizations dealing
with different skills dealing with co-curricular activities.
FFP - The Future Farmers of the Philippines. For the agriculture
enthusiasts.
FHP - The Future Homemakers of the Philippines.
FFHP - The Future Farmers and Homemakers of the Philippines.
YECS - Youth Entrepreneurs and Cooperativism Sector
These various organizations were not centralized though, and there was
an aptly need for a drastic reorganization. Thus, these four were
integrated to only ONE. The STEP.
The STEP Today Through the help of the past secretary Raul Roco, the STEP was formed. It stands for Student Technologists and Entrepreneurs of the Philippines.
This is what we currently have now, the STEP - an organization whose aim is to empower the individual with various skills committed to earning a livelihood in the future.
