After returning to the palace, Chichiri told Hotohori & the rest what had happened in Kutou. On hearing this, Hotohori got more worried than ever.

Hotohori came to see Miaka just after Mitsukake had healed her arm. Miaka pretended to be all right but the more she pretended, the more dispressed Hotohori got. Hotohori told Miaka do not force yourself but in return, she told him not to bother her. Saying that she was fine meant fine. It was her business & she would solved them herself. She screamed for them to leave her alone.

Feeling hurt, Hotohori excused himself. The worried Nuriko followed up. Outside of Miaka's room, Hotohori hit the wall with his fist. Hotohori: I hate myself being so useless. Facing such a deeply hurt Miaka, I don't even know how to console her. I only say things that'll make her unhappy. I think she'll never forgive me.

When Nuriko brought food for Miaka, he found that Miaka was missing. Immediately, he reported to Hotohori. The hysterical Hotohori dashed out searching for Miaka. As he came by the seaside, he saw Miaka's shoes floating on the water.

Without thinking of his own safety, Hotohori dived into the water under the stormy weather. Seeing an unconscious Miaka tangled up with all the seaweeds, he swam towards her.

Hotohori: Don't die, Miaka. You cannot die. Suzaku, please give me the power. I don't care what will happen. Miaka, I'll never let you die. His senshi symbol glow & a pillar of pink "ki" splitted the water around them.

At the centre of the pile rose up a forcefield. Inside the forcefield were Hotohori & Miaka. Hotohori, carried an unconscious Miaka, flew towards the land where Nuriko & Chichiri were waiting.

Once landed, Nuriko & Chichiri rushed towards them. Immediately, Chichiri checked on Miaka. To everybody relieve, she was all right. She was still alive. Hotohori: It's good that she's still alive.
