Meta Tags

Meta Tags server many different functions. All of these are added between the <Head> and </Head> tags of a page.

<meta name="description" content="description of page goes here"> -The Description people see when they find your webpage with a search engine.
<meta name="keywords" content="keywords go here"> -The keywords a search engine files your page under.
<meta http-equiv=REFRESH CONTENT=x_seconds;url="Url you want to send viewer to"> -This refreshes a page to a different URL. Use this if your page has moved. Content is how long you stay on the first page.
<META HTTP-EQUIV="Pragma" CONTENT="no-cache">-this does not allow the browser to cache the information on your page. Use this if the page is updated minutely, or if their's something random you need to show up every time.
<META NAME="rating" CONTENT="General"> -your sites rating- General, Mature,Restricted, or 14 years

<META NAME="DC.subject" CONTENT="subject goes here"> - your subject
