	Do you remember ECO 92 event ? The Conference that discussed the Global Environmental problems ? Well, Agenda 21 is the final document elaborated and signed by almost every country in the world. This document identifies de major environmental problems, actions and to be taken to minimize or avoid it and some deadlines. Unfortunately the world as a whole is not accomplishing with these resolutions, but Agenda 21 is there to remember us that in spite of knowing what we are doing to our world we continue to ignore what is really happening.

	Very well, we concluded that we cannot accomplish so ambitious resolutions established in Agenda 21. What do you think in working in something easier and more specific ? At least we could accomplish it (?). Basically this is the Kyoto Protocol intention, discussed during the "Conference of the Parts - COP3" in Kyoto (1 - 10 december, 1997) with relation to climate change and gaseous emissions. Did It make it ? Well, the country that is responsible for the greatest emission do not signed the protocol. Did the countries that signed are respecting the resolution. Just the time will show. 	ZERI - Zero Emission Research Initiative. It is a proposal of eco-sustained development based on total recycling of raw material aiming zero emissions by simulating biological systems where a residue / metabolite of a system is the raw material / nutrient of another system. "Do not expect the Earth to produce more Do more with the Earth produces" - In ZERI proposal, 5 concepts are important to understand it: - Zero Emissions - Zero Defects (Total Quality Management) - Zero Inventory (Just in Time) - Zero Defections (Total Customer Loyalty) - Zero Conflicts (Consensus Making Decision) - Formation of Industrial Clusters are very important in ZERI proposal, because it facilitates the process of "transformation" of a residue in raw material. The Industrial Cluster increase productivity, and the process is called Upsizing. This is a clear example that the whole concept is not formed by the simple sum of his parts. ZERI proposal, if decomposed into basic elements, do not bring anything new and most concepts are well known by people that care about the planet's future, but the whole ZERI concept is structured in such a way that meets resonance in industries.
