Frisco was six months old when the Monticellos saw him in a pet store. The pet store told them that he came from a breeder, but at the time they didn't know the difference between a responsible breeder and a wholesale breeder; they were unaware that "wholesale breeder" is just another name for puppy mill. They felt sorry for the puppy who had spent most of his life in a cage. They decided to take him home and they are very happy they did.

Frisco is a healthy bundle of energy. He is always happy to see everyone who crosses his path, be it dog or human. As a pup, he loved to "terrierize" his old uncle, Cruiser. He would run circles around him and pull on his whiskers until Cruiser would get tired of Frisco's antics and roll him onto his back. Frisco's aunt, Shell, wants no part of him. She is not fond of other dogs and Frisco is much too hyper for her. But, he just wants to be loved!
