Auxiliary Christmas Party
This years Auxiliary Christmas Party was a combination affair with the Pinning of a 50 year membership pin on Buddy William F. Brown by Department Commander Dan Whealen and the Burning of the Post Mortgage. Past Commander, Buddy Delma Smitha served as the Master of Ceremonies for the events of the evening.
First on the agenda was the introduction of the President of Fred Brock Post Auxiliary Unit 828, Mrs Ernestine Green. President Green addressed the gathering giving thanks to the Buddies for a wonderful Christmas Party. Included in the audience was Dan Whealen, Department Commander, and 20th District Commander Kay Lott, seated to the right of Mrs Green.

The attendees finally reach the climax of the evening, the Burning of the Post Mortgage. Past Post #828 Commander, Delma Smitha is joined by the Post Commander Gerald H. Griffin, Jr. (to his far left) and Auxiliary Unit #828 President Mrs. Ernestine Green (to his Right) and Past Post Commanders and Auxiliary Unit #828 Presidents as the Mortgage is burned. To Buddy Smitha's left is Past Commander William H. Craig, to his far right is Past President Jessie McBride, to his rear and right is Past President Ernestine Walters, on the left is Past Commanders Wilfred Slack and William Woods. Directly behind Buddy Smitha is Past Commander John E. Willridge, Sr., and to his rear is the 20th District Vice Commander Walter Geraghty.
