MARYANN ANG
Hi! My name is Maryann, but you
can call me Khysann. I live in Philadelphia, originally from the
Philippines. I've been residing here for six years now and I love
it. I miss my friends in the Philippines of course, and eight months
ago if you asked me where I prefer to stay I would unquestionably
answer Philippines but all that changed when a guy named Kenth
Fucanan entered my life, blew my mind and stole my heart. I always
tell him he's good cause he made me fall in love in a month's time.
Hmm..... maybe I am very suggestible :-) but so far I have never
regretted falling in love with him, not for a second.
But I digress...... what do I
like to do? I like to read and am a very big fan of all things Trek.
I love the Next Generation most of all, but only because Data is in
that particular incarnation of Star Trek. Consequently I prefer Next
Generation stuff, from plates and artwork to trading cards and comic
books and action figures.
I also love music, although I
am limited to one aspect -- the listening part. I always regretted
not being pushed by my parents into different extracurricular
activities, voice lessons being the foremost example. Granted, it
will probably not do much with my voice, but at least I may be able
to actually sing in tune. Still, I love to sing, although I limit
myself to singing along to the radio; that way, other people in the
room can ignore me and also I am guided by the actual singer to the
proper key!!! Poor Kenth, though.... I sing to him all the time!!!
There is no escaping that..... and that's one of the many reasons why
I love him!!
Although I don't claim to be an
expert, I love poetry. To that end, I read love poems and I don't go
around discussing the content and meaning of the poems. I just read
it for fun and I have no patience for poems other that those about
love.
I also love Les Miserables. So
much so that I am reading the book. I have never seen the show, and
nobody would have gone with me anyway..... :-( So I content myself
with the 10th Anniversary Concert CD and the corresponding video.
Granted, the video is a poor substitute for the actual performance,
but I have to be satisfied with that for that is what I have. I only
have the consolation of not seeing the actual performance so I do not
know what I am missing. Hopefully, I will be able to watch it live
some time...... while it is still running on Broadway................
*sigh*
On Saturday January 9,1999 my dream will finally come true!! Yes, I will go to New York with Kenth to go see Les Miserables. This is the best Christmas gift ever!! I am so excited....... I am so happy!!!!!!
