It started when I saw a trailer for this flick, a really cool one and in it, it quoted Tom Savini as saying:
"..the sickest film I've ever seen..."
And then I knew!!! I knew!!! This flick would be MINE!!!
And it was surprisingly easy to get my hands on. My friend at the VIDEO GRAVEYARD had a original copy and so a trade was made for the original and I sat down to watch
CUTTING MOMENTS
Now just so you know, I've seen Entrails of the Virgin and Cannibal Holocaust dozens of times, I've seen the Guinea Pig movies and even Aftermath, I've seen just about everything; so it is no small thing when I say this was one of the weirdest, and entertaining and most disturbing flicks I've ever seen!!!!
The movie itself is five short films rolled into one. Each one is fully different, ranging from the humorous to the completely shocking....
In order, here is a brief synopsis of each:
CRACK DOG - who's the Dog and who's the master? Why crack is the Master and don't come between this Terrier and his crack!!!
DON'T NAG ME - right out of an EC comic, this is a tale of murder and revenge from beyond the grave
BOWL OF OATMEAL - so you're a pathetic lonely individual. Well don't worry, your oatmeal knows what to do, get a hobby it says. But I don't think that using 200lbs of stolen meat to make that 'thing' was what the oatmeal had in mind....
PRINCPLES OF KARMA - definately funniest of the bunch. A ultra-board punk goes on the ultra-violent joy-ride of his life, courtesy of the anarchistic Youth Liberation Front.
CUTTING MOMENTS - this is the big one; the one that makes this one so shocking...THIS ONE IS VERY DISTURBING!!! A dysfunctional family go way beyond the pale with some horrific self-mutilation...
This film from 1998 runs 80 mins and just rocked at various Film Festivals and is a definate must see!!!
