Outside Her World

Somewhere in a time gone by.
She smiled a real smile,
And laughed a real laugh.
But now...
In the secret world inside herself,
She screams,
She cries,
Still, only she knows.

Outside her world, where others exist,
She goes to school,
Plays with other children,
Hugs her Mom.
But none of it is real.
None of it exists.

Outside her world the sun shines.
Inside there's only darkness.
