In the Eyes of an Irish Angel
~dedicated to the dearest of my friends lost~
Come and meet my angel, come look in her eyes,
see what she has taught me, then come and look in mine.
There behind my shadow, you'll find the light she's lit,
you'll see what she has taught me, in a such a little time.
I want to share her friendship-come and meet my angel.
She seems to understand me and the stories that I hide.
There beyond my silence and the secrets that I share,
my angel's found my dreams and the little girl inside.
Look beneath my angel's eyes and see what she can teach,
here you'll meet my angel and hear the stories that she's told.
You'll find her wisdom without her age-find her soul like mine.
See how she can touch the world and turn all stone to gold.
I believe she listens not only to my words,
but the whispers of my silence and my soul she hears.
I wish that I could thank her in some special way.
If only I could cure her pain and wipe away her tears.
So fate has laid it's hand-two souls, two different worlds,
mine with so much grattitude and hers with so much heart.
Wherever we may go and however we may change,
I know, in soul, this friendship-it will never part...
Thank-you angel for listening to my words and hearing my soul too.
Thank-you angel for teaching me without being a teacher.
Thank-you angel, thank-you for being a friend...
