Guineveres' Solace: The Tears of My Reflection
The Tears of my Reflection
You've seen through my reflection,
And viewed my world from this side.
What my eyes don't express,
Are the secrets I must hide.
I close my eyes. I try to shield you from my fear.
With all my strength it seems, I can't conceal,
For underneath it all, somehow you know,
What I feel inside, that makes this pain so real.
First, there is something you must understand,
Before you hear the whispers, the whispers of my soul,
The fear I have for closeness that seems to run my life,
Won't listen to my heart which aches to make us whole.
Tell me now, before we have to say good-bye,
It's time you say, exactly how you feel.
When does this end? Where does the rest begin?
Exchange a kiss, and let it be my breath you steal.
The world you must teach me, for I am still a child.
What is mine can be yours, if you open yourself to me.
Leave the past behind, allow the future to mend your pain.
Please, listen to your heart, this feeling you can't see.
Somehow, you step within my mind,
there is more than a hunger I know you have to feed,
Within my dreams, there's so much more,
you control my every desire, you fill my every need.
The coolness of your breath still lingers on my neck,
I gave you a moment to steal a taste of my skin,.
When I'm ready to feed your hunger,
I'll let you to take me from within.
Give me time to sort things through.
Until I can understand my fears,
I beg for you to hold me tight
and wipe away my tears...
