Each year four awards are given at the exhibition :-

Visitors Shield to the layout gaining the most votes from the public.

Presidents Cup to the visiting layout considered by Shipley MRS members to be the best.

Doug Malcalf Salver to the layout with the most atmosphere.

Leeds Trophy to the layout with the best scenic model.

A flood in October 2000 resulted in the exhibition hall being under six feet of water. As a result the hall had to endure a lengthy drying-out process and have a complete refurbishment undertaken. The 2001 exhibition was replaced by a pair of open days restricted to the clubs own layouts.
