Well, there goes another Christmas; I'm back at work and loving it, as you can imagine... I have at least got the Rush R30 30th anniversary DVD boxed set to enjoy, though, which is awesome (cheers, bruv!). We've even got a light dusting of snow here - very festive. Still the New Year weekend to go...!

Not so much news, this; more an observation. I've just come back from my lunch break having walked not more than a couple of minutes away into the old Racecourse, now a municipal sportsground, sat at a bench in the unseasonally warm, low November sun, looking out across the fields where dogs are being exercised and towards the hilly skyline of Sevenoaks, then stolled back across the river Medway (via a bridge of the type Monet famously painted) as a pair of swans and their cygnet glided by beneath me, all the while being watched and followed by inquisitive squirrels. And they say Tonbridge is dull and has nothing going for it...

The It Bites gallery is avaliable now. I think it all works now but, even if it doesn't, I wanted it up and running asap and any broken links will be seen to soon!

I've nearly finished my It Bites pages after all this time - just got to go through all the various html files to weed out all the upper-case stuff in filenames and we'll be ready to rock!

Here's a final pic of my drums from last week. Like Darth Vader it's somewhat on the dark side but then my digicam's really basic! Note the lack of hi-hats; if you see them lying around anywhere, do let me know... Also, if you're the person now playing this kit I'd like to hear from you too!

I've finished tweaking the Bikes gallery so that it actually works, as well as updating the Index page with the proper link. I've also just uploaded the Drums picture gallery - I'm aware that there's no info on the kits, just pictures, but I do have that in hand and will add the text at some point.

Well, I've gone and actually done it; I am now officially drumless. My old set last night winged its way back up the good old A21 to Beckenham where, hopefully, some young lad is just starting down the road of drumset enlightenment and neighbourhood pariah status... I'll add a pic of this occasion to my drums page, as and when I ever get round to uploading it all.

I've been back to the ENT department at the Kent and Sussex Hospital in Tunbridge Wells to explore the possibility of having further nose and sinus surgery. I had a septoplasty and a sinus flush in March 2004, which has improved my breathing no end but hasn't really improved the pressure and pain I often get in my sinuses around the top part of my nose and around my eyes. I'm on a spray for the time being and will find out more next March.

I've had to reluctantly face reality and mothball my trusty Kawasaki. Now that I work within walking distance and everything else I need I can get by walking (the High Street's only 6-7 minutes away), I've found that I don't really ride it much any more, and it's not worth spending the money on consumables and upkeep (especially as we don't have much to spare). I haven't sold it because it's probably not worth all that much, and I'm hoping that a time will soon come when I can start enjoying the use of it again.

Six months or so into my time as a Customer Services Assistant at my local public library, all seems to be going well - I don't think I've upset anyone too badly (yet). It's taken a while to get used to having alternate Tuesdays and Saturdays off but the work itself is manageable. I've had much worse jobs, that's for sure. Hours of fish-gutting, anyone?!

Can't think of a funny anecdote worthy of closing out this section at the moment, so you'll just have to talk amongst yourselves...
