Hello!
You've reached the last refuge of the lonely that is the Martin Best website. Why do I have a site on the Net? Because I can and because, originally, I wanted to see if I could code it myself with the help of a book (see The Bit at the End). These days, of course, I take "inspiration" from what else is out there. Proof, should you need it, that more than just nerds and tech-heads end up on the Web. Yes, dull, ordinary people make it here too!
Well, I've been fiddling with the look, layout and coding again for 2006! This time I've gone for a CSS-based version which is intended to be as clear and easy-to-use as Google's front-end, plus easier for me to update and muck about with too! I hope it's okay... There's no flashy technology on show but at least that means that it loads quickly and that saves money for those of us still using dial-up networking! It's now all my own work, apart from the bits I, er, gained inspiration from elsewhere...
I'm under no illusion that I've got much to say that would be of interest to the rest of mankind, as you might have gathered if you've made it this far, but here I am anyway. Have a look around, leave a comment, suggestion or greeting in my Guestbook but, more importantly, have a nice day!
