DEAD EARNEST CD REVIEW SITE

As many people are aware, I've been one of the leading album and single reviwers for unsigned and lesser known bands and artists for a very long time. In all the years I've worked in music retail, a review of mine has been known to be the main reson why a CD has suddenly taken off and sold - whether distrbutors, labels, bands, artists or mail order, all have found the benefits of an Andy G review, although in the case of many a distributor and label, they weren't even aware of some of them, until they happened. At the bottom of the page, you'll find just a few of the generous comments made to me by assorted people for whom reviews were done.
But I do also review more well known and major label CD's too, as is evidenced by the many such examples about which I wrote at CD Services Mail Order and Mike Lloyd Music/Lotus Records.
So, the intention of this part of the site, is to be a review section for all the bands and artists that I love (and some that I don't love at all!!). HOWEVER........... what is not going to change is my sincerity of approach! I have never given a good review to anything that I didn't genuinely enjoy and am not averse to providing a (construcive) bad review to anything which I think merits such treatment, something I rarely had the luxury of doing at CD Services. So, if you submit a CD for review be prepared for anything!
