This section links you to all my reviews of the Dundee (& associated) bands who've so far released or prepared CD's that are meant for label presentation and/or public sale, but this will tell you more about what the bands and artists are all about. Links to all the bands websites (that exist) are on the home page
As with the concert reviews, the CD's are reviewed in the order in which they were received, and even though a few are now history, the review remains and untouched, as we do with all the Dead Earnest site:
CD ALBUM & CD SINGLE REVIEWS:
The list below is in descending order, the latest items at the bottom, with each CD reviewed at the time it was received here, starting somewhere around the middle of 2005 and getting into 2006 by around Ephemeral Arkestra and beyond, arriving at 2007 by the time of King Thing and hitting 2008 somewhere around The Rebelhearts - I'm sure you get the drift!
Just a reminder that the best place to see and purchase as many of the local CD's as you can find that make it to a release, is Grouchos in the Nethergate just off Dundee city centre, as they have a section devoted to items old and new by local and East Scots coast bands. Give them a call on 01382-228496 - they also do tickets for many local and Scottish concerts, as well as the best used shop in Scotland, for CD's, CD Singles, vinyl, cassettes, DVD's, videos, books, accessories and more - with prices that are totally affordable, often jaw-droppingly low, it's easily the best music shop in Scotland right now.
DEAD EASY (ELECTRA + IAN JONES)
Fantastic female vocalist from the USA now residing in Edinburgh and done a lot to support the Dundee scene, so it's only fair that we support her.....
Electra's own CD album reviewed here

LEATHER ZOO
Melodic punk band from Sheffield with a stunning mini-album and scorching live concerts. They helped me with a support slot at my first Post Office Bar gig - so I'm helping them..........
....and forward to 2007, they're back with a brand new an snsational CD-EP - read the review by clicking the link below:
Leading what seems like a mini-invasion of Dundee by bands from Brighton (someone must have put a good word in down there!!!), they had a crowd spellbound on their debut Dundee concert - and this CD has the same effect.
Scottish bands' CD's that have landed on our door and are worthy of a mention (in descending chronological order - latest at bottom):
We get a load of CD's sent to us from unsigned bands from South of the border, but 99% of them don't live up to the high standards set by the Scottish Scene - but a few do, so you'll find the best of those bands' CD's, right here. Among others, check out the stunning electro-goth industrial power of Uniting The Elements, the Classic Rock of female-fronted band Long Time Dead, the awesome sounding rock and metal of the North's Brand New Analogues plus the stunning new indie band that is Casino Drive, to be enjoyed and heard.
