Charles J. Leach died last Friday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. G.A. Hemstreet. He was in his 89th year having been born in Trafalgar on Dec. 6th 1825. He lived in Oakville for a number of years and came to milton in 1905. He worked at his trade, that of carpenter, up to about a year ago when his health began to fail. he had been confined to his bed for two months before his death. Besides Mrs. Hemstreet, Mr. Leach left a daughter, Miss Leach, and a son, Albert J. Leach, both of St. paul, Minn. All three are here now. Mr. Leach was a member of the Methodist Church and Revs. M.J. Wilson and J.C. Willmott conducted the funeral services on Monday, when Mr. Leach's remains were buried in Evergreen Cemetery.
