Margaret was known and loved throughout her long lifetime as a leader in Owen Sound Church, community and musical activities. She graduated from Whitby Ladies College. She sang in the choir and was organist at Scrope Street Methodist (now Central United) Church. She was married in this city to James
R. Brown an emigant from Scotland.
