Johanna was still alive in 1921 (Census 1921), but she is not shown in the 1928 voters List. No death record was found in Vital Statistics, but some members of the family seem to think that she died in 1922.

No death record was found for this son. He obviously died young, since another son was named Joseph when he was baptized in 1877.+ 6 F ii Bridget Sullivan 7 M iii Michael Joseph Sullivan "Mike" was born about Aug 1875 in Caplin Bay, NF. He was christened 1 on 15 Aug 1875 in Holy Trinity Parish, Ferryland, NF. He died 2 on 6 Apr 1897 in the sea. The cause of death was diphtheria. He was buried in Ferryland RC Cemetery.
Mike died while at the seal hunt in April 1897. He and his cousin Thomas Swain, of Caplin Bay, were shipmates on the Aurora out of St. John's, NF. Tom Swain died on April 2, 1897, and Mike Sullivan died a few days later, on April 6, 1897, both from diphtheria. Their deaths are mentioned in the Newfoundland folk song " The Spring of 97".
