About

This is just a page dedicated to the books I’ve read (starting just a couple weeks ago and going throughout my up and coming senior year).

Last Updated: October 29, 2007 – 11:41 P.M.

Currently Reading

Lightland by Heather McCutchen

Ash: A Novel by Lisa Rowe Fraustino

Kiss of the Night by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Last Book Read

Just Ella by Margaret Peterson Haddix

Rank: 9/10
Comments: I liked this book very much. I think the ending was very suiting for it ^_^ For those who haven’t read it, it’s just basically about what happens after to Cinderella when she goes with Prince Charming. It sorta reminded me of Shrek, though…

The Hollow Kingdom by Clare B. Dunkle

Rank: 10/10
Comments: Great book. It made me like Goblins what a lot, to tell you the truth. I did feel sorry for the elves, though. Poor little elves >.> Anywho, I do recommend reading this book.

Close Kin by Clare B. Dunkle

Rank: 9/10
Comments: O, how I loved this series. I’ll have to find the third book somewhere (since it’s not in my school library). Anyways, I liked how this book turned out, though I did like the first one best. Though, I did like the prince (Catspaw!) He was really mean to his adopted sister, though (poor girl!).

The Silver Kiss by Annette Curtis Klause

Rank: 9/10
Comments: I love Annette Curtis Klause’s books (Blood & Chocolate, especially). I did enjoy the Silver Kiss and the ending was perfect (not too happy, not too sad), but I thought it could’ve at least ended a bit of a different way. All-in-all (disregarding my objections with the story, of course) it was good. I do recommend the book if you love vampires!

Treasure at the Heart of the Tanglewood by Meredith Ann Pierce

Rank: 10/10
Comments: Great book. Great Author (loved the Dark Angel series). I thought this book was absolutely wonderful. The Wizard a great evil guy, I must admit (even with his corruption). The ending was great, though I would’ve loved an epilogue (but, I’m not going to complain…much). Recommend if you like a bit of a light, happy fantasy story.

Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury

Rank: 9/10
Comments: Even though I had to read this for an English project, I enjoyed it. The beginning was a bit boring and did kind of make me just to put the book down; but, being an assignment, I continued to read. As the book went on, it got more interesting. The story went through many ideas children think about whilst a child. I loved it. If you like Ray Bradbury’s work, I suggest this book as a must read!

Poison by Chris Wooding

Rank: 10/10
Comments: I thought this book was very good. I loved the Lady of the Cobwebs (my favorite character, perfectly strange). Anywho, it has the perfect knowledge of the whole “god”-like power authors have when writing a story. A must read~

The Pack by Elisa Carbone

Rank: 10/10
Comments: It was a short book, but a great one. I loved it! Though, for most of the book I was really hoping Akhil would be a werewolf (sadly, he wasn’t). Nonetheless of my disappointment, it was good. The ending was absolutely sad. It was one of the few books I hope to end up happy (and, ironically enough, isn’t). A definite read.

Fantasy Lover by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Rank: 10/10
Comments: I really loved this series. I just loved Julian (though being a…*cough* slave…might not have been all that fun). I recommend this book (and all that follows) only to kids maybe 16+ (if they don’t mind reading adult romance/fantasy books). If you’re still a young’n (well, younger than me, that is >.> since I’m not all that old, or old, really.) then you might want to stray from these books.

Night Pleasures by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Rank: 10/10
Comments: I loved this book. I liked Julian a bit better than Kyrian, but he was a good guy, too. It was really sad to hear how he was tortured for so long. *tear* Anywho, it was good over all.

Night Embrace by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Rank: 8/10
Comments: Hm…Talon…I didn’t really like this book at all, but it was still really good (odd, huh?). Maybe it was because the first 2 books in the series were really good…

Dance with the Devil by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Rank: 10/10
Comments: Ah! The roman-slave-whipping boy! It was the saddest story in this series so far. I felt really, really bad for how Zarek had grown up. It was great how the book ended (him finding what he truly needed throughout his human life).
