August 3	Margo and Georgia rush in to find a beaten and bloody Eddie. Eddie shuts down on Margo and she leaves to go after the dealers who beat Eddie up. Georgia figures out that the woman Eddie's so in love with is Margo. Lisa fires Emily and tells her to stay away from Tom.
August 4	Eddie becomes worried when he learns of the sting Margo's set up for the dealers and rushes after her. Eddie comes upon Margo and Chucky, who's knocked her out cold. Chucky's about to kill her, but Eddie manages to overpower him and save Margo, who hugs Eddie in gratitude. Emily tells Tom that Lisa thinks they're having an affair, and Tom blasts his mom for not having more faith in him. David agrees to sell Emily his WOAK shares and she tells Tom she wishes she could hire him. Tom tells her he quit the Argus and would love to work with her.
August 5	Tom thanks Eddie for saving Margo's life. Eddie recognizes Margo and Tom's devotion to each other and says good-bye, claiming they each need to move on with their individual lives. However, when he overhears Lisa voice her concerns to Bob about what's going on between Tom and Emily, Eddie can't help blowing up at Tom for being with a slut like Emily.
August 6	Tom and Eddie have an emotional confrontation, with Eddie accusing Tom of carrying on with Emily behind Margo's back and Tom accusing Eddie of having a crush on Margo. Both deny the accusations but later we see signs of tension between Tom and Margo.

August 10	Penny Hughes Cunningham and Ellen Stewart arrive as everyone prepares for Nancy's surprise 80th birthday party aboard the Valetta. Margo and Hal search the Valetta unsuccessfully for James. Georgia asks Eddie to dance, but he rebuffs her and Margo can tell it's because he doesn't know how to dance.
August 11	Emily sees Margo teaching Eddie to dance and leads the entire party out to watch. A pleased Emily realizes her plan to arouse suspicion is starting to work as Barbara gossips a bit to Kim about Margo and Eddie's closeness. The Valetta's engine explodes.
August 12	Margo is knocked unconscious by debris in the engine room, where Eddie finds her.
August 13	Eddie saves an unconscious Margo, as they land on an embankment by the river. A disoriented Margo assures a worried Eddie that he could never lose her, and Eddie impulsively leans in for a kiss.
August 14	As Tom searches for his wife, Eddie confesses his feelings to Margo. Eddie is trying to get Margo to admit she loves him too when Tom arrives.
August 17	Tom rescues Eddie and Margo, who asks Eddie not to discuss the fact that they kissed.

August 19	After Margo agrees to meet Eddie to talk, she deflects Tom's gentle questioning about her time on the island with Eddie. Tom tells her that Emily and others think Eddie has a crush on Margo. Margo leaves to meet Eddie, unaware that Emily is sending a reporter and hidden camera to cover her "rendezvous."

August 21	Margo finally faces Eddie and tries to let him down easy, even as the moment is captured on tape and delivered to Emily.
August 24	Emily makes sure the Margo/Eddie footage looks incriminating and manipulates the situation so it airs on a competing TV station, clearing her of guilt in the matter.
August 25	The sensational news report about Margo and Eddie is seen throughout Oakdale. Margo tries to explain to an upset Adam and Tom how the tape was edited -- she isn't in love with Eddie, she was trying to let him down easy. In front of Kim, Emily acts horrified about the newscast and curses Brent for selling the salacious tape to a competing network when she refused to air it on WOAK. Susan sees through her daughter, thinks Emily was responsible for the Margo/Eddie footage. Despite Georgia's attempt to protect him, Eddie sees the newscast and races off to Margo's.
August 26	Susan continues to press Emily about the newscast but Emily denies any involvement. A distraught Adam attacks Eddie then runs off as Tom goes after the boy. Eddie feels horrible for the trouble he's caused Margo and they say good-bye with their eyes as an arriving Bob sneaks Eddie out the back to avoid the reporters looking for more scoop. Adam runs to Hal, wanting to live with his biological father. Tom is forced to let Adam go and Emily is right there to comfort Tom.
August 27	With Brent fired, Emily suggests Tom for the job and lifts his spirits by convincing him to try out for it. Andy comforts Margo and encourages her to go to Adam, but Adam refuses to talk to her. Hal persuades Margo to go to lunch with him when she can't reach Tom, who seems to be trying to avoid her.
August 28	Margo learns that she may lose her job over the Eddie scandal. Tom and Emily arrive to find Margo with Hal. Emily alerts Tom that there's a reporter with a hidden camera. Realizing how bad things are becoming, Tom makes a public declaration of his love and faith in Margo, saying she did nothing wrong. Everyone applauds. Emily hates it.
August 31	Emily learns of Margo's plans to visit her mother and leads Eddie to believe Margo has to leave town and her family because of him. Emily then sends a reporter to Margo's, knowing full well it will look like Margo and Eddie are running away together.
