QUADRANT International Brings Filipino Marketing Formula to the World
Story from Official Newsletter of FQPI June 2004
First Quadrant International today become fully operational with its CEO Ms. Ruby Esteves boldly leading FQI in its attempt to tap into the rich reservoir of goodwill in the highly competitive American market where Filipino product, F
ilipino entrepreneurship and Filipino value stand side-by-side with the world's best. FQ International started operations from its base in Milpitas, California but is fast-spreading to nearby cities and towns.
Just last May 29, FIRST QUADRANT International made its entrance in the US market with a wham in an all-day inaugural event at the Sta. Clara Convention Center-one of the largest and most pretigious meeting halls in Northern California. The first overseas branch of First Quadrant Phils., Inc. was cheered on by more than two thousand enthusiastic business associates and guests.
FQPI Chairman Soc Tumpalan and President Doyee Tumpalan expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome and support that the city of Milpitas has accorded FQPI and its branch in the US, FQ-International. "It is said that" A friend's house is never far. You can say the same thing with our trip to the US. Twelve thousand miles is not far when you are received hospitable and well. The truth is, every time we come here, we even gain a day. What more can anyone ask for?" the president remarked at the opening ceremonies.
The audience, composed mostly of Filipino-American, was deeply moved by Atty. Filomino Arteche's statement that FQ promarily promoted Filipino products and that by investing in FQ, they help the Philippine economy-and they become heroes to the country of their birth. Meanwhile Ma. Teresa Raña, a polio victim, shared her inspiring success story and expressed her gratitude to FIRST QUADRANT for making it all possible.
Milpitas Mayor Joe Esteves, Marikina Mayor Marides Fernando, and the chairman-emeritus and co-founder of the Multilevel Marketing International Association Michael Sheffield congratulated FIRST QUADRANT for crossing bounderies to achieve its vision.
Philippine Cinema’s prince charming Paolo Montalban hosted the event while Philippines pride Lea Salonga charmed a “home-sick” crowd with her soothing singing voice in a world class, exclusive mini-concert.
Earlier, a ribbon cutting ceremony was done at the Milpitas Town Center and an exhibit of highlights was put on display at the Santa Clara Convention Center.
FQPI leaders Prudencio and Anabelle Jalandoni, TJ Arteche, Angeline Arteche, Nelson and Imelda Torres with daughter Nica, Cora and Mel Medel, Eugie Moncal and Jose Marco Baluyut flew all the way to Manila to support FQ International and its newly-enlisted Fil-Am members on its inaugural day.

GLOBAL
RESPONSIBILITY
You have a great responsibility now to people here at the United States. You’ve
now open the door for prosperity for many of the people from your home country
but you’ve open the door for opportunities for people all over the United
States.
Just prior the playing of the two national anthems, the music that was played was by a famous American composer Aaron Copland, it was called “Funfare For The Common Man” and that was multi level marketing is in the world today. It is fanfare for the common man to see opportunity for people to grab themselves by their bootstraps, pull themselves up and accomplish things that they never thought possible.
THE
MLM WAVE
In America today multi level marketing has over fifteen million people that
participate in this great opportunity. One of ten households has someone involve
in this channel of distribution. Over thirty billion dollars of sales take
place in the United States every year and it’s increasing about 20 percent
per year as this industry grows at a dynamic and rapid rate. Throughout the
world over 40 million people participate on multilevel marketing with sales
of over one hundred billion dollars, Fortune 500 companies, AOL, Time Warner,
and major corporations are entering this market place but they don’t
have the same type of opportunities that First Quadrant has… because
they don’t necessarily understand the unique culture and the family
that multi level marketing is about -- the things that many of you who are
going to discover First Quadrant for the first time will have an opportunity
to learn about. I know there’s people here who are coming to take a
look at the company. You’ve heard about First Quadrant, you’ve
heard about the good work that they’ve done in the Philippines; you
know that there’s something special here.
THE
HEART OF THE MATTER
And I am here to tell you that I’ve had the opportunity to meet with
the executives of the company. They’ve come to my office in Scottday,
Arizona; they spent a great deal of time helping me to understand the mission,
to understand the goals, and the cause of this great company. And I have an
opportunity to visit with many companies all over the world -- I've traveled
from Russia to China to almost every country including the great country of
the Philippines. And many times when I talk with companies I find that the
most important thing that they are interested in, is how to grow their business
for their own financial rewards but I can assure you that this company and
its executives, its founders are people that are dedicated and committed to
doing the right thing, to helping their fellowman.
LINKING
STRENGTHS
And I'm proud that we have an opportunity at Sheffield Resource Network to
be a part of that. Also in behalf of the Multi Level Marketing International
Association, the association that represents all these types of great companies
around the world, we want to take the opportunities association to congratulate
and welcome FQ to the United States.
I think its important for you to understand that as I talk to the executives of the company and they told me about their commitment to wanting to help each and every person in the United States, they also were aware that there are many people outside the Filipino community that have goals and hopes and aspirations as well. And First Quadrant, they assured me, is a world company. And I believe that it has an opportunity to becoming a world-class company -- and with the help of many of the people in the United States that are among the highest professionals in this industry that have been contacted and contracted by the company to help the company to do the things that are important to be successful here. I'm confident that this company will stand the best chance of any to be a world class company and each of you will have an opportunity to be a part of that.
SERVICE
FIRST
I think I would like to make a comment to you that I shared with Doyee and
Soc and Ruby and Noni as we visited and it was a philosophy that I had that
ran clear with me that they believed that as well and that’s part of
the reason that I made a commitment to this company to do whatever I could
to be helpful. And my philosophy goes like this. Service to mankind is the
rent that we pay for a space on earth. And the financial reward we receive
is directly proportional to the service rendered. What that means, folks,
is that if we are committed as are the executives of this company, as are
the people of First quadrant to helping their fellow man, to doing the right
thing, to providing people with opportunities that may have never been possible
before. A number of things are going to happen in your life.
RELATIONSHIP
BUSINESS
First, the people that you talk with about First Quadrant, about the business
opportunity, about the vision, the cause and the fine products will become
your friends because they’ll see that you truly believe in the company
and you care for them as individuals. Number two, many of those people will
honor you by becoming a part of your First Quadrant business. But number three
is the most important thing of all; these people will become your life-long
friends. And that’s what its really all about. It’s about relationships.
And that’s what Multilevel marketing is, It’s a relationship business,
it’s a way that we can care for our fellow man and it is a business
that you can create tremendous business income for yourself as well. Some
of you in this room will go on to have tremendous success, some of you will
just make some additional income, and some of you will become part of First
Quadrant because you believe in this great cause of helping other people around
the world. Whatever reason that you decide to join First Quadrant, I encourage
you, I urge you -- to become part of this great company. Again congratulations
to the founders, the executives, the top distributors from the Philippines
and thank you for all you’ve come to look at this great company and
I would wish you well in the future.
I thank you.
Q888
Feasted with Generosity, Friendship and Success!
May 08, 2004 At OB Montisory
While fiestas and celebrations fill the merry month of May, inside the OB Montisorri, a feast of a different sort was being shared by the business associates of the Q888 group at their 3rd Summer Hataw!
With the theme, “the rise of network marketing as the next major profession”, the even invited First time speaker Lanie Masangcay to shre how she acquired a Toyota Revo and a three-storey building through her FQ income. Chinese businessman Rodrigo Chan, who laos gave his testimonial, expressed admiration for FQ’s marketing plan which makes possible the achievement of so much in so short a time. Davao’s pride, Robert Rances heated up the crowd’s enthusiasm as he conveyed his hardships and triumphs in doing the business. “ Yung dating squatter, kapitbahay na ngayon ng rest house ni Sharon Cuneta.”
The event, organized by Marvin and Ana Martisano to support their downlines. “My purpose is to motivate people, encourage them through testimonies. If others succeeded, they also can no matter who they are. Sizzle sells the steak! Personally, it is to help my downlines, reaching them and keeping them together monthly. Synergy! That’s what we get when were together. Sort of bonding na rin for my group! she says.
Thirty of Q888 leaders were also given certificates for finishing the Franklin Covey’s What Matter’s Most” Time Management program tutored by Raymond Seriaco.
Mr. Fabian Estrada and Alvin Perez hosted the event.
While One and Co. hit the stage with its latest designs. Godspeed band filled
the night with pop songs while FQ kids rocked the place with their Otso-otso
dance number.
