Emergency Care

If your child is having a medical emergency, call our office immediately, and we will arrange to provide the needed care. If it is after office hours, please call the Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center at (863) 4422-4971 and the hospital operator will page the physician with your information.

If you feel that the situation is life-threatening, call 9-1-1 and ask for an ambulance or go to the nearest emergency room. The physicians on duty can then begin treatment on you child. Please request that they call our office to notify us of your arrival.

If the physician is called away from the office on an emergency, the staff will try to advise you if it will affect your appointment time. From time to time, if we appear rushed or occasionally behind schedule, it is because the practice of pediatrics is full of unexpected and sometimes serious problems, such as children requiring emergency attention in the office or the hospital, or urgent telephone consultations. So, please understand the physician cannot be in two places at the same time.
