DECEMBER 2002
Hi Everyone,
So, I'm sitting here on this, the last night on our tour bus, which incidentally is the night before the last London show... WHICH incidentally STILL is the LAST show of the UK tour!!! We have had so much fun in the UK .. I just LOVE it. I was trying so hard to be really slack and not complete my 2nd 'Leonie's Diary' entry.. But I couldn't because Tracey is over here with us in the UK for a few weeks on the road and she is constantly on my case because she wants you guys to get your D-Zine on time. We are about to watch 'Four Weddings and A Funeral' and I'm sitting with Angi, Tracey, Tina, Cat and Sharon and I'm actually going to get them all on here to say hello to you (which will cut down my writing workload in such an ENORMOUS way..
Not to mention give you guys a chance to hear from the Darren HAyes touring personnel).
So.. I'm going to pass the laptop over.. See you soon:
SHARON: It's not everyday you get to wipe the sweat of a pop stars brow or hand him a cup of tea on stage and I'm here to tell you that it's a great job. We're travelling with such a great bunch of people who have become family and we all look out for each other. Darren has become the "Eric Cantana" of the tour (scoring the winning goal at today' soccer match) the game was not without injury as Angi sits here in agony with a torn quadricep muscle. You may have noticed her hobbling off stage tonight like a trooper. Darren managed to get a ride in a wheelchair after smashing shins with Bruce. Luckily all was caught on camera. As the UK leg of the tour ends we are all sad to be leaving such a beautiful country. We've experienced so much out the windows of our tour bus.
CAT: Greetings fans of Daz. Being the new guy in the band I'm still kind of feeling my way but I'm absolutely loving touring and playing with such a great group of people....we're having a blast on the bus and will be sorry to see the end of the 'bus leg' tomorrow. The chardonnay has just come out
so it's back to the movie.
TINA: Hellllllo folks, as Leonie has briefed you we are winding down, cruising on the rock'n'roll bus, watching a film. We had agreat gig tonight, Angi did a fab job don't you think? Our tour of your beautiful country is coming to an end, as most of you know me along with Cat are the new kids on the block. This is my first experience of seeing the UK.. what a beautiful country it is, and what an enthusiastic, vibed audience the crowds are. Thanks for making my initiation such a delight, take care and see you in the not too distant future (we all hope)!!!!
ANGI: Hey guys, well firstly I have to say that being back on the tour with Darren and the gang is wonderful!!!!
Thank you so much for all your support every night (especially tonight) and for your appreciation of Darren's creative effort and talent.
Keep up the smiles and cheer
We love you
Love and Peace
Angi
TRACEY: Hey Everyone! This is so much fun!! The tour bus is so cosy. Tonight's show was the best that I have seen so far. I have had such a great time hanging around with everyone and I have been made so welcome. I am in awe of the amazing work the whole team do to make this tour such an amazing experience for you all. You know I miss Darren so much when he is not home and it has been so lovely to spend quality time here with him and his amazing team of true friends. This has been an experience that I will never forget. It has been great to get to meet so many of you that I email regularly and finally be able to put faces to all of the names.
Love
Tracey

It's me..Leonie again..I know that everyone keeps referring to 'tonight'..So just to let you know, the gig we are talking abot is the 15th October - Plymouth.
So the UK leg of the tour has been fun and we are more than excited about the rest of the tour..we still have so many great countries to get to. We are travelling so fast that the only unfortunate thing is that sightseeing is kept to the bare minimum. I'm going to try and make sure I at least spend a couple of hours in each city having a good look around. It is sometimes just impossible, however and the cities become nothing but a blur. Crazy really. Anyway, I hope that you are all enjoying yourselves at the shows, it has been nice meeting so many of you again.
No doubt we'll speak again soon!
Have fun out there!
Leonie
