Best quote: "Every single Jedi is now an enemy of the Republic. Do what must be done. Do not hesitate. Show no mercy." - Darth Sidious

The Galactic republic is in major trouble. There is an on-going war within the galaxy and it seems that only the Jedi themselves may stop the war and save the republic from falling into the hands of the sepratists.

Supreme chancellor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid) has been kidnapped by the Evil Count Dooku (Christopher Lee) and Droid General, Grievous. Jedi Knights Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) and Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Chirstensen) are sent to save him.

Anakin saves Palpatine, and his friendship with him becomes closer than ever. With Palpatine's help, Anakin's hate grows stronger, and thus he delves closer and closer to the dark side of the force.

And then all hell breaks loose. Anakin turns to the dark side. It was inevitable.

Anakin's wife, Padme (Natalie Portman), pregnant with his child, doesn't know what to do, and is scared stiff by her husband. Meanwhile, Anakin starts slaughtering the Jedi. Women. Men. Even children. No one is spared.

Only Yoda (Frank Oz) and Obi-wan are left standing when the dust finally clears, and it is then that Obi-Wan realizes that he must kill his best friend. Someone has go to stop the Sith.

Personal Comments

Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith is the best Star Wars film of the prequals, and is up there with the best of the series.

Action packed right from the start, Episode III is filled with the best light-sabre battles of any of the films, even out-doing Yoda V. Dooku from Attack of the Clones and Qui Gon & Obi-Wan V. Maul from Phantom Menace.

George Lucas totally redeemed himself with this film. yes, the dialogue is fairly wooden, but the acting performances are much inprooved from the first two prequals. If you thought the first two prequals sucked, then you haven't seen anything yet! See this film in the theater if you can; you won't regret it!

Plot:
By the time this film hit theaters, everyone knew what was supposed to happen. But the way these events took place is is what everyone wants to see and George Lucas delived high-quality action with suspense mixed in - in just the right ammounts. The dialogue is stiff, but the action makes up for everything.

Visual Effects:
ILM knows how to make great special effects and they do not dissappoint here. The Light-sabre battles are the best of any of the films and the planets and varied locations just look awesome.

Sound:
Once again, john Williams delivers a riviting, well orchestrated musical masterpiece. However, the score isn't as energetic as Duel of the fates (the Darth Maul/Obi-Wan/Qui Gon fight music) from Episode 1.

Character Development:

Atmosphere:
This film will totally make up for anything you may have dis-liked about the other two prequals. And no, sorry, Jar-Jar doesn't die a bloddy death.

Realism:
